- Both classroom and on-water training is offered to assist vessel operators and crew in achieving maximum safety and enjoyment from their vessel.
- Mr. Bugher is a graduate of Trenton State College (The College of NJ), and holds a NJ State Teaching Certificate. He worked for ten years in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, with an emphasis in teaching of the Boating Skills and Seamanship Course. He is also a licensed captain OUPV/Masters.
- Classes are tailored to recreational crew/captains training for individuals or families. Often, training will be combined with a vessel delivery, allowing for instruction in many phases of boating including navigation/piloting, rules of the road, vessel handling, and knowledge/care of vessel systems.
- Mr. Bugher regularly provides captains training services for new and/or brokerage vessel buyers for a major local yacht dealer.
- All training is done in an environment of positive reinforcement. We don't yell or force people into uncomfortable situations. "Rules of the Road" may contain specific rights and wrongs, but vessel operation/handling consists of many options for a given situation. We work with your experience and comfort level to develop workable methods providing safety and comfort, for your specific vessel and crew situation.
