Blair Bugher is the president and owner of Bugher Marine Services, LLC.  He attended Mercer County Community College, Rutgers University and Trenton State College, studying engineering and industrial education.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Trenton State, with a teaching license - industrial arts. Postgraduate experience has included engineering/construction management, and boat construction/repair.  Post graduate education has included electrical systems design; OSHA and nuclear safety training; licensing in high pressure boiler operations, marine surveying accreditation; USCG Merchant Marine Officer Captains License (OUPV 100 ton/100 miles near coastal, 50 ton masters inland, commercial towing endorsement); ABYC standards training (ABYC Standards Accreditation); gas and diesel engine operation, yacht donations/appraisals, and corrosion investigations. Mr. Bugher performs speaking/training presentations for yacht clubs, power squadrons and other organizations. Mr. Bugher has provided captain's services; and provided and overseen maintenance and upgrades for a 50' to 70' series of private yachts for a local family. Mr. Bugher worked ten years in the USCG Auxiliary including two years as flotilla commander, and taught the Boating Skills and Seamanship course for many years. Personal and corporate affiliations include active memberships in SAMS (Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, Blair Bugher-AMSŪ), SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers) IAMI (International Association of Marine Investigators) ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) MTA-NJ (Marine Trades Association of New Jersey). We maintain reference standards including USCG/DOT Rules, CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), ABYC Standards and Recommended Practices, Boat US and IAMI technical exchange newsletters, plus marine and conventional engineering reference standards. Our appraisal reference library uses current market evaluations of actual pricing, and also includes ABOS, BUC, NADA, and Powerboat Guide. Mr. Bugher and Bugher Marine Services were featured on The Learning Channel television show "Repo Men", Mr. Bugher has been a contributing journalist to New Jersey Angler Magazine.
